If you picked up the London Lite yesterday you may have noticed the Swan Papers advert on the front cover. This is Popcorn’s handy work and part of our overall “Papers for London” campaign, which is being rolled out across London.

The campaign is focused on raising awareness of Swan rolling papers. There are a set of 5 adverts, look closely and your notice a London ‘landmark’ on each, made out individual Swan papers.

Spotted a couple of designs from our “Swan – Papers for London” campaign on the walk to the studio this morning. Nice to see a splash of colour in these other wise super dull bits of street furniture.

Not sure why more agencies don’t utilise this space for advertising, maybe we’ll kick start a trend…

I was exclusively invited to customize a vinyl toy for the artist Lunartik’s ‘Tea Tour’ which kicked off at here in London at the Forbidden Planet store before moving on to the venue gallery venue in Amsterdam, Holland. All artists involved were asked to invent a new type of tea for which I chose to place a deer in a tea cup, and therefore creating ‘Deerjeeling’ as my favourite brew.

From 1955 to 1995, Dieter Rams was the head of design for German electronics manufacturer Braun and was (still is) one of the most influential industrial designers of the late 20th century.

From 1955 to 1995, Dieter Rams was the head of design for German electronics manufacturer Braun and was (still is) one of the most influential industrial designers of the late 20th century. Living by a set of ten principles for good design, Rams, who worked with an obsessive attention to detail, designed products where simplicity and functionality were key, the result being beautifully clean and easy to use consumer goods.

Good news. There’s a forthcoming Dieter Rams exhibition at the Design Museum (London) starting the 18th November and running to 14th March 2010. The exhibition showcases Rams’ landmark designs for Braun and furniture manufacturer Vitsœ.

Really looking forward to this – if you want to see more Rams products then there’s a flickr pool just for that. To find out more about the man himself, there’s a great write up on the Design Museum’s website.

Welcome to the first in a series of Pop Papers. Its a chance for us to have a bit of fun with our identity.

For this wallpaper I used Cinema 4d to model a glossy looking Pop, playing with textures, lighting and cameras. It was a great learning curve and I am looking to explore the world of 3d much more over the next few months and you may see an animated version of this little nugget pop up on the blog soon.

They are available in multiple sizes as listed below.
