A couple of quick snaps from a recent project for parkrun.

T-shirts and certificates were produced to award runners who had reached the 250 parkruns mark. The t-shirt was supplied by Nike and features gold foil front and back designs. The certificate was also gold foiled and printed 1 colour on GF Smith Colorplan Natural 175g stock. Nice and exclusive, like the club itself.

Brief
We were approached by Hackney Drug and Alcohol Action Team to design and build a fully content-managed website allowing access to a range of important documents and key resources for users, carers, young people, professionals and community members.

Solution
We created a clean and functional site where information is key and getting to that information would be a painless process. Among its features is document management, video uploading, news pages and a members area where you can access private files.

Result
The new website has allowed Hackney Daat to communicate more effectively with their audience, hosting many of their key documents online means users can quickly find the information they’re after, without needing any direct contact with the Daat.

Brief
To design a Christmas card from us to our clients wishing them a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year before we were all done for the holiday.

Solution
As the studio was all wrapped up (no pun intended) with getting clients work out before Christmas. Our solution was to persuade Lola (our Studio Bulldog) to design the card on our behalf.

Result
After a shaky start, she soon got the hang of InDesign and decided (quite self-indulgently), to design a poster featuring self–portraits, resolutions and a message to all about Dog’s being for life, not just for Christmas.

If you picked up the London Lite yesterday you may have noticed the Swan Papers advert on the front cover. This is Popcorn’s handy work and part of our overall “Papers for London” campaign, which is being rolled out across London.

The campaign is focused on raising awareness of Swan rolling papers. There are a set of 5 adverts, look closely and your notice a London ‘landmark’ on each, made out individual Swan papers.

Our brief was to design and print an invitation for Matt, Marissa and their Families Dinner and Barn Dance.

Solution
We took the opportunity to produce a timeless and purely typographic invitation printed on 200gsm Straw Cream Recycled paper supplied by Paperback.

Result
The client was extremely happy with the finished design and print. She loved the larger format which meant the invite can double as a poster, something to adorn the invitees walls.

“We are so totally delighted. Thank you a million times! Delighted you guys like the cakes – we really can’t thank you enough so is only a small token of our appreciation!”

Brief
The brief was to design a wedding invitation accompanied by a snap-wristband, a set of place cards and badges inspired by the clubbing and Rave era.

Solution
We produced an invite that conveyed the bright and colourful graphics associated with the nostalgia of the era. We created a bold and ‘fun’ typeface which also served as an emblem for Duska and Gareth which was applied throughout the printed material and to the guest snap-wristbands. The ’smiling face’ imagery of the era inspired the ‘his and hers’ badge designs.

Result
Vibrant and ‘fun’ invitations with a unique twist on traditional wedding invites. A talking-point among guests.

“When it came to our wedding invites we really didn’t want anything too formal or traditional; these invites are perfect for us and really reflect how we feel about the day. We wanted it to be fun and light hearted and also to let people know that it was going to be a proper rave up!

Popcorn really seemed to understand the subject and had obviously listened to our needs, this was shown both in the mood board sent to us (a trip down memory lane) and the finished product. Everyone we have spoken to absolutely loves them and the wrist bands are an excellent and unexpected twist.” Gareth Howells.

Spotted a couple of designs from our “Swan – Papers for London” campaign on the walk to the studio this morning. Nice to see a splash of colour in these other wise super dull bits of street furniture.

Not sure why more agencies don’t utilise this space for advertising, maybe we’ll kick start a trend…
