Thursday afternoon saw the little processors on my iMac smoking away as I blasted through these animations for Swan, Role for Pole. I was really pleased with the result.

Here is the animations on the big screens at Brands Hatch over the bank holiday!!

parkrun Promo Video

Brief
We were approached to design and produce a motivational promo video for attracting new members to parkrun.

Solution
We created a short promo video with emphasis on key parkrun messages such as; friendly relaxed atmoshere, open to all ages and for serious athletes and fun alike.

We used a combination of live action and motion tracked 3D typography to create this stylish effect.

Result
An inspiring piece of film and motion graphics that will hopefully go viral and spread the umbrella of parkrun even further across the globe.

Van Communications asked us to create them a quirky christmas Animation. Sprouts get a bad rap at Christmas so we decided to make them that little bit more lovable.

Here was our animation from last year. This was more down the typographic route. It was a lot of fun coming up with these concepts and creating them in after effects….

Shooting “This is parkrun” on RED!

This weekend I was out shooting footage for a promo video we have begun work on for parkrun. I was shooting on RED cameras with the help of Lily Gooding from Brownian Motion. It was a real learning curve, with Lily watching over me making sure I didn’t break anything on this amazing bit of kit. Having watched back the footage, I am really excited about the end product. Watch this space for the finished promo….

We would like to thank Jeff Brown from Brownian Motion for the use of the camera’s and obviously Lily Gooding for giving up her Saturday morning to help me shoot. Its all very exciting!

Peace One Day (Six PR)

This is a small job we worked on for Six Pr, Coca Cola and Peace One Day. Its a viral sting for Peace One Day, which highlights the role coca cola pays in the Peace One Day and the Film which is soon to be released.

The Interview was shot by Charlie Chambers who we have worked with in the past on similar jobs to this.

Amazing Film Titles

Last night I watched the film The Boat That Rocked. As well as being a brilliant insight into the rock and roll culture of the late 1960’s in the Uk, I was inspired by the slick title sequence. It is beautifully animated, with the timeless sound of The Kinks summing up the feel of the film.

The title sequence fulfills it’s normal task of introducing the key characters, but the strong, well executed graphical style works as a clever vehicle, in the style of a tuning dial on a valve radio. It has inspired me to create a mock up title sequence over the next couple of weeks which I will get a couple of the guys here involved with perhaps so I can try and delve into the work flow of a title sequence.
